Annual City Showcase City Showcase is a free festival for new music & fashion supported by the Mayor of London as part of the London Development Agency's Creative London initiative. Bands will be performing in the West End in London at legendary venues including Borderline & 100 Club. A number of acts will be wearing creations from new young London's new designers. Music performances will cover rock, indie, pop, hip hop, soul, R&B, world, folk, asian, country, classical, jazz & dance. Free workshops will also be available including music management, production, trade associations, labels, publishers, accountants, writers & composers.

The Bedford The Bedford is an exceptional & unique venue in Balham, South London. Renowned acoustic venue Kashmir Klub founder, Tony Moore hosts the acoustic live music nights every Wednesday & Thursday at the Bedford. Moore's nights offer a platform for songwriters and performers from all over the world, signed and unsigned, to be able to perform in a unique atmosphere that has to be experienced to be understood. The nights are web cast live & an interactive forum is available too. Free entry

Ginglik Based in Shepherd's Bush, Ginglik is a subterranean venue, which hosts its original acoustic night the first & third Thursday of each month. Besides Ginglik hosts an eclectic programme of music events including electro music, DJs, which are run throughout the year along comedy nights, underground electronic music, kung-fu classes and film. Membership available on request.

BMI - Showcase BMI, the American performing rights organization, hosts an acoustic night on Tuesday night every other month at Hard Rock Cafe in Green Park, London. Get in touch with BMI office in London for further information.

The Original Songwriters Showcase The Original Songwriters Showcase night is opened every Monday night & takes place in West Kensington. The performers are accompanied by the venue's house session band & backing vocalists to make you feel like at home! Full video & recording facilities available. £6 entry

Half Moon Reknown Putney based venue, has been hosting an unplugged night every Monday. Opened to any musical genre from all over the globe. The venue has been the platform to artists such as Bert Jansch, Ralph McTell, John Martyn and Van Morrison. £2.50 entry

4 Sticks Live A bi-weekly acoustic show, West London newly refurbished venue, The Cobden Club presents signed & unsigned artists every Monday & Tuesday

Bug Bar Brixton restaurant, bar & lounge is opened first Wednesday of every month for showcases

ICA Located near Charing Cross & supported by Arts Council of England, Film London & Europa Cinema & Gosh Cinema, the Institute of Contemporary Art offers the opportunity to perform in a creative & friendly atmosphere. Provides 2 reception rooms, a theatre, two cinemas and a New Media Centre. Membership available

The Acoustic Lounge Based in Clapham Common, The Acoustic Lounge offers a great & cozy atmosphere to get the best of your performance.

Big Note Big Note hosts an acoustic night at the Hope and Anchor, North London every Wednesday & Sunday as well as at The Red Room downstairs at The Comedy Pub in Piccadilly Circus every Mondays. Doors open at 8pm.

Upstairs@The Garage Showcases new bands monthly on Thursdays at the Garage venue in Highbury. Bar is opened until 1am.

Twickenham Folk Club Acoustic night every Sunday right, which is hosted on the fringes of the capital in Twickenham.

12 Bar Club In the heart of legendary Denmark Street, 12 Bar Club hosts an open mic night on selected nights. You can perform 2 of your best songs with your instrument. The venue showcases around four acts a night, 7 nights a week. Food available. Next open mic night will be held on December, 1st.

The Electro Acoustic Night The Electro Acoustic Night hosts an open mic night in Clerkenwell every night from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Register by 7pm to play. The session is followed by featured artists. £3.50 entry

Native Tongue Based in Hammersmith, Native Tongue hosts an open mic night every Thursday night at Edwards. Sofas, drinks & food available. Free entry

Progress Bar Just turn up on the night. Takes place every Monday from 7pm in Piccadilly Circus. The Progress Bar provides PA, Mics, Monitors DI's and a Baby Grand Piano. Free entry

The Playroom Located 2 mns walk from Mme Tussauds in London, The Open Mic session is on twice a month on the 2nd & 4th Monday. Free entry

The Spice of Life In the heart of Soho, The Spice of Life is a 100 people capacity basement bar, which hosts an open mic night every Monday. Performers should register by 6.30pm to have any hope of playing. Food served up until 9pm. Free entry
